Today sneak peak is for the family "D" family who has the most beautiful alert newborn I 've met so far. She really wanted to remember everything about today photoshoot and despite from all the soothing technique and mom's feeding she outlasted us and manage to stay awake in 4 hours of photoshoot. I did manage to get a couple of blinked of her while in Dad's arm trying to catnap.hehehe.....

Zachary's 2nd Birthday

Dear Zach,

Another year has past and you have gone through a lot of changes since birthday 1. So much so that when I look back at pictures from the day you were born I can barely recognize you as that little baby I used to be able to hold in my arms.

Over the past year you’ve mastered walking, or more precisely, sprinting, I could hardly keep up with you. You started talking a lot and uttered your first few sentences. Everyday you played with daddy with your choo choo train and read a lots of your favorite books. While me tried to cook every delicious kids meal that i can think of so you will eat aside from cheese. C'mon eat some veggies! Everyday you surprise your daddy and me with the things you’ve discovered in your world. You started to show that you care with people around you and we are very proud of you.

Right now the concept of birthdays and things wrapped up in shiny paper may not mean a whole lot to you, but to us they are all part of this journey, your journey. We are honored to be part of it and excited for all the things your future holds. As you celebrate your second birthday you are fortunate to be surrounded by family that loves you more than mere words can express.

My little prince is turning 2 in 3 weeks.... *sigh*

Time flies and its fast!!!! Now he can say a lot of words and construct sentences: like "daddy, sit eat watermelon, "oh no! its broken!! he use this expression a lot! and over there! and 'yeah' (in german accent) mostly at the end of his words. He can now communicate with us clearly, well almost!

He will sing happy birthday whenever he will see cakes! his favorite are cakes from her godmother Joy of jocelyns' cakes... esp the red velvet cake!!yuum! did i say mommy loves it too!

He is picky eater but loves cheese and watermelon for dinner!!!

He loves train as much as he loves movie cars, nemo and ratatouille and many more, we have a huge collection of kids movies coz mom and dad watches them too.

He goes to a daycare twice a week for social interactions and he getting very good at it :P

He loves me and i love him soooo dearly!

I spent sometime with a lovely family in an outdoor shoot. When mom called me to book an appointment,
I was soo excited coz they want an outdoor vintage style of photos. One afternoon while my sister is taking care of Zach, i drive around Milton looking for an Old barn and get a permission to shoot. On my sixth barn, i finally was able to ask a permit to shoot. Thanks to Mattamy Housing :P
I have been shooting a lots of newborns but i kinda like the bigger kids too.. i dont get to use my peekaboo line..hahhahha

One thing i truly love about being a baby photographer is that every baby is different. Each one has a different personality, features, like and dislikes, different squirks, different smiles, different cries...BUT one thing they have is this amazing baby smell that makes me wanna kiss them all over...and the appetite during the photoshoot ..lol

Getting to know this little peanuts when they come and meet me is the most rewarding parts of what i do - they are very special to me... I wish i could have them...hahahha *i hope my husband is not reading this..lol

My little man in my life!

One of my resolutions this year was to take more photographs of my son Zachary. I know I have been busy blogging and shooting other babies and forgotten about my little man. Well, it's not that i forget it, the problem is, I cant! I tried so many times but its just ended up with a battle: him screaming and wanted to get hold of my beloved camera and me running around shooting with a blur as a result...he just dont sit still.

Now, he is 16 months and I will try again...I will get some nice shots out of hundreds..lol

I have thought of a photo a day theme for a month but that's a lot to ask i think, so i decided for a "blog a week"...for at least a month, and will try once a month after.

I know my family and friends will be happy for the weekly update.

as of today:

1. Zach have 10 teeth in total and still counting! (his tantrums)

2. He started walking last month and now he's into running (sometimes in circles (?)

3. He loves to wrestle with my cat Shiraz (oh she poor thing) but she likes it..hahhaha

4. He is a head banger! I dont know what's with baby but he loves to bang his head on the wall or floor.and he thought its funny.. sometimes he will cry!lol

5. He eats a lot and getting very heavy. Me and hubby have a carpal tunnel syndrome already! ouch!

6. He drives me crazy most of the time!

7. He talks, a lot. Most of it, we don’t understand, but he just keeps going because we’re nimwits and someday, perhaps we’ll get a clue.

I guess that's it for this week... I may have to prepare for new updates later...

photographing babies at this age (1.5 - 2.5) is hard.. but to be able to capture a single moment of their childhood is priceless.... so i will keep trying :P
